24,218 PKGS OF LEAF AND 5,556 PAKGS OF DUST WERE ADVERTISED FOR SALE. WITHDRAWALS STOOD AT 30% AS AGAINST 33% LAST SALE

Dust Varieties met with a strong demand. Good liquoring RDs/PDs/Ds were well competed for and were dearer by upto Tk.10/- and sometimes more. Other varieties also sold well at generally firm rates. CDs, however, met with less demand and were an easier market with fair withdrawals

A few good liquoring clean Brokens on offer met with a strong demand and were generally firm to slightly dearer and these could be quoted between Tk.178/- and Tk.198/-. Other varieties were firm to occasionally dearer. However, poor end of season types continued to be difficult of sale with fair withdrawals.

A few best liquoring varieties on offer met with a strong competition and were generally dearer often by upto Tk.5/-. These sold between Tk.205/- and Tk.220/-. Good liquoring types also followed a similar trend and these were sold between Tk.185/- and Tk. 198/-

There was a greater weight of end of season types on offer. Buyers competed strongly for better teas on offer leading to higher prices. Poorer teas only received some support from the buyers. There was substantial withdrawals in this category. Blenders le nt good support along with Loose tea buyers.
