22,101 packages and 154 packages of old season on offer continued to meet with a fairly good demand in line with quality.

Good liquoring CDs were a strong feature and were firm to slightly dearer follwing competition. All others also sold well but at easier rates, easing by upto Tk.5/- and sometimes more in line with quality. Plain liquoring teas were often neglected.

Good liquoring well made Brokens met with a good demand and were generally firm to often dearer. The best sellingbrokens were sold between Tk.161/- and Tk.168/-. Medium varieties were about steady whilst the plainer types eased a little with some withdrawals

Good liquoring Fannings were also a fairly strong market. These could be quoted between Tk.153/- and Tk.160/-. Best varieties also met with a good demand but were a touch easier, selling between Tk.161/- and Tk.167/-. Other types were slightly easier foll owing quality.

There was a better tone in the market today whereby more teas were sold although often at a touch easier rates. However, well made good liquoring teas were quite strongly supported both by Blenders and Loose tea buyers. However, plain teas continued to be difficult of sale.
