16,044 packages and 577 packages of Old Season were on offer. After a hesitant start, demand strengthened and prices were about firm on last. There was less withdrawals.

3,352 packages and 55 package of Old Season on offer met with a strong demand. All varieties witnessed more competition this week and were fully firm to slightly dearer particularly the Ds and CDs.

All Brokens were a good market. Prices were a little easier at the outset but with the progress of sale, were about firm. These could be quoted between Tk.192/- and Tk.195/-. Medium and plainer varieties were generally a firm market.

Good liquoring Fannings were also a strong feature but were slightly easier at the beginning. However, prices firmed up as the sale progressed. The best could be quoted between Tk.192/- and Tk.195/-. Mediums were generally firm whilst plainer teas were slightly dearer.

Market was quite strong as the sale progressed and most prices were firm towards the close. There were hardly any withdrawals. Blenders were operating in greater strength whilst there was more interest from the Loose tea buyers. There was no export enquir y.
