22,610 packages and 734 packages of Old Season on offer met with a very strong demand at progressively dearer rates.

3,609 packages and 10 packages of Old Season on offer met with a good demand at dearer rates. Good liquoring RDs and Ds met a good competition and were dearer by up to Tk.5/- to Tk.8/-. CDs were also a good market and were dearer by a similar margin. Medi um and plainer varieties were generally firm.

Good liquoring Brokens were strongly sought for and were often dearer by Tk.6/- to Tk.8/-. These could be quoted between Tk.174/- and Tk.180/-. Medium and plainer varieties were also dearer similarly.

Good liquoring Fannings were moved up by Tk.6/- to Tk.10/-. These could be quoted between Tk.174/- and Tk.180/-. Medium and plainer types were also dearer by Tk.6/- to Tk.9/-.

Demand was very strong for all grades this week, which leads to an appreciation in prices. Blenders were very active with a fairly good support from the Loose tea buyers. There was no export inquiry.
