For overall development of physical communications inside and in the surroundings of the gardens PDU assists in constructing and repairing road communications.
PDU is also responsible for updating information related to tea industry in Bangladesh. Although welfare activity is not direct part of its services, it still offers Labour Welfare Fund to the dependants of the workers and also gives away funds for social ceremonies like wedding, puja, etc.
One of the welfare development schemes now being implemented is the Education Trust under which children of the workers receive stipends from the interest of money deposited by the previous governments.
